The Twin Towns of Ballybofey and Stranorlar are situated on either side of the River Finn in east Co. Donegal on the busy N15. The towns are an ideal touring base with excellent golfing, fishing and shopping locally.
Ballybofey is historically a market town and is home to the multi award winning McElhinney’s Department Store, Irelands Store of the Year 2012. Ballybofey has the distinction of being the only large town in the North West of Ireland that has neither a school nor a Church.
Stranorlar, whose origins date back to 1610, is home to two national schools, two second level colleges and four Churches, the Finn Valley Athletic Centre and the beautiful and historical Drumboe Wood.
There are many excellent pubs with traditional sessions and nightlife. Jackson’s Hotel in Ballybofey is reputed to be the home of Irish Coffee!

Throughout 2013, Ireland will open its arms to friends and family from all over the world, inviting them home to locally organised gatherings in villages, towns and cities.
